2024 RACER REGISTRATION

2023-2024 EMERALD SKI LEAGUE REGISTRATION INFO

Whether you're a seasoned alpine racer, or a skier looking for a new, challenging winter sport, ALL student skiers of intermediate skill and above are welcome, no racing experience is needed! If you have an interest in joining, please first contact your Team's Head Coach. In order to fully register as a racer in the Emerald Ski League of OISRA, complete the following three steps:

01.

Register with your High School Team or Club

Student-athletes must meet all school sports or club eligibility requirements. Registration varies per district, and per team. Contact your Coach/Club/Team Representative for your team for sign-up information.

02.

Register with Emerald Ski League

League Registration, Fees, and Liability Waivers are managed through TeamSnap. Students and Parents must set up an account with Team Snap to register and receive important communication notices.

The DEADLINE for League registration is November 19, 2023.

03.

Register with OISRA

Oregon Interscholastic Ski Race Association (OISRA) is the governing body of high school ski racing in the state of Oregon. Annual Registration Cost is $35.00 per student (includes both OISRA and Alpine Fees). Parents will sign a Volunteer liability waiver when registering their student.

The DEADLINE for OISRA registration for students is December 6, 2023.

OTHER COSTS AND CONSIDERATIONS

In addition to the Team/Club, OISRA, and League registration steps and fees, what else is required to race?

Generally, your first point of contact for questions or information is your Coach or Club Parent Rep. They will convey team information to the parents and racers as well as coordinate team meetings and schedules, transportation to training and races, etc. Sanctioned training follows the OSAA Winter Sports season, usually beginning in November with a combination of dry-land training at the schools and mountain training once resorts open for the season.

Racers will need to purchase a Season Pass at the resort their team will train at. All of our League Races are at Willamette Pass and Hoodoo, so many families pre-purchase ticket packs or passes. Talk to your Coaches regarding what each team is requiring for passes.

Racer Day tickets are available at a discount for scheduled races, and Resorts support our races with special-priced lift tickets for events away from your home resort. Families may choose to purchase multi-day ticket packs in advance. Parent Volunteers who are filling jobs that require lift access will be provided a complimentary day ticket on Race day. Many of the venues are accessible on foot, so families can watch the finish areas of the races without needing to have lift access.

Non-League invitational fun races, such as Kelsey's Race and the Central League Invitational will require an additional Registration fee and Racer Lift Tickets to participate in the race.
