ABOUT THE EMERALD SKI LEAGUE
In 2021, a group of parents, coaches, and officials revitalized the Emerald Ski League to ensure local, inclusive and competitive ski racing is available to all athletes interested in racing at high schools in the Mid-Willamette Valley and Central Oregon.
The ESL is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to support high school ski racing, through team collaboration, fundraising, and management of all alpine race opportunities for local athletes. Our success is due to participation from parents, coaches, and volunteers working together to create environments ripe with learning opportunities in an extremely challenging sport by keeping it safe, fun and focused on the student-athletes. ESL is governed by a board of directors that includes parent volunteers and head coaches from each team/club.

ESL is one of 5 active member leagues of the Oregon Interscholastic Ski Racing Association (OISRA), which is the statewide governing body of high school alpine ski racing. OISRA was organized in 1961 to govern and standardize competition in high school alpine ski racing.
